February 2009: 9 to 5

You don't have to be in an office to enjoy this month's kit; whether you're a full-time mom, a single career woman or a free spirit more often than not our week is spent non-stop.  We often we overlook scrapping about our daily to do lists, meetings, schedules, etc. It may seem trivial now, but years from now it will be a memorable record for future generations.

Here's a little something to get you started, keep those little notes you jot down, your reminders and even grocery lists and use these as embellishments as well as topics for your page.  You can bet i'm collecting those little notes to myself to grace my scrapbook using my SA Kit ofcourse!

January 2009: INSPIRASI

Taken from the Malaysian term for "inspiration", our first kit for 2009 is INSPIRASI. January's kit is a bit different, a twist in choices of patterns and colors and varying embellishments.

In a couple of days we will be celebrating the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Ox. Said to be the year of Harvest, we reap what we sow. What other way to plant the seeds of creativity than with an SA Kit :-)

A bit of a delay . . .

To our valued Members and Customers,

Our January Kit will be a bit delayed, due to some kit contents that we still have not received. But I am confident we will be able to post the reveal by the 21st of January, along with the winners of our Anniversary Challenge :-) thanks so much for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

HELLO 2009!!!

Hi everyone! Before I go on with my new year greetings, please forgive me for not posting the winners for our Anniversary challenge and prepping our newsletter. With all the holiday rush I didn't have enough computer time , please do watch out for our announcements and email soon.

On to more things, like the new year!!!! As always Studio Azul will do it's very best to bring you the best kits at affordable prices, more challenges and tips to make the most out of your kits. On a personal note, I don't think i've practised my scrapping skills as much as making our annual family album. I made 16 layouts (4 different layouts with 4 copies per! no xeroxes here :-) in 24 hours, how's that to start my year LOL If anything, i want this year to be filled with happy, unforgettable moments to fill my layouts with.

So here's to YOUR 2009, may it be filled with great blessings and wonderful memories. Happy new year!

It's a TRUE BLUE month of November!

I thought I would never get this post up and ready, but I just had to because
this month is a truly True Blue month as
Studio Azul turns 1!
Before I go on I would like to say a big HUGE Thank You to
all of our customers, to our wonderful DT's Au, CV and Nita and of course a shout-out to
my former partner and still our
avid supporter Mia Caniza.

We did it! The Philippines first kit club has surpassed the 12 month mark!!!

So what's in store for 2009? More yummy kits ofcourse! Oh, and here's a little gift for our loyal members, you'll be receiving sometime next week the first SA newsletter including sketches, project instructions and some bits of inspiration to get the most out of your kits.

And here's the yummy part, SA's Anniversary Challenge!!!

KIT CHALLENGE:
Your kits will contain an ID/Luggage tag, therefore, using your November, True Blue Kit make ONE (1) Layout with a COMPLIMENTARY Tag.

Requirements:
1) Make ONE (1) 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11 layout with your November, True Blue Kit
2) Traditional only
3) Both layout and tag must contain not less than 90% of materials included in the True Blue Kit.
4) Your tag doesn't have to be a part of your layout.
5) You may do as you please with your tags, alter it inside and/or out.
6) Your tags also came with loops, it is a MUST you have an attachment of some sort to your tags and it doesn't have to be the loop we provided.
7) Email your layouts and tags to studio_azul@yahoo.com with subject heading :
NOVEMBER KIT CHALLENGE
8) Please send all emails no later than DECEMBER 15th, 2008, 11:59pm, Manila Time.

Note:
For clarity's sake, according to Websters (please refer here) Complementary is defined as:

1 : relating to or constituting one of a pair of contrasting colors
that produce a neutral color when combined in suitable proportions

NON-KIT CHALLENGE:
Keeping in line with our theme, make an ALL BLUE LAYOUT.

Requirements:
1) Make ONE (1) All BLUE 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11 layout
2) Traditional only
3) The blue color theme must be at cover at LEAST 80% of your overall layout
4) BLUE must be a part of your layout title.
5) Email your layouts to studio_azul@yahoo.com with subject heading :

8) Please send all emails no later than DECEMBER 15th, 2008, 11:59pm, Manila Time.

There has been quite a trend among the scrappers and suppliers lately, whenever there's a RAK or a contest, the prizes are often posted BEFOREHAND. Hey, when in Rome do as the Romans right? And besides, who wouldn't be able to use some incentive :-)

Due to inquiries, please note Participants may join BOTH the November KIT Challenge and November Challenge (non-kit). In order to give a chance to the other participants, you can only win ONE of either challenges.
